About

Established in 1983 KJK Ropeworks rope and braid dog leads are sold throughout the Country, Europe and world-wide. They are used and recommended by dog trainers and behaviourists, dog clubs, breed societies, dog wardens, kennels, the R.S.P.C.A and police and customs dog trainers. We have a good name for quality and service and the KJK labels are well-known. A number of dog trainers have used our leads on TV programs where they have been helping people train their dogs.  Our leads and lanyards are also used by the 'Great Britain Gundog team'

Our hand spliced rope leads are made in Devon, UK. from top quality marine rope - light, strong, durable and washable and our braided leads are bar-tacked (a tight line of 42 stitches). We would recommend hand washing in warm water with a mild detergent. We don't use metal crimps or simply melt the ends of the rope together. As we manufacture the leads ourselves we are always happy to make up specials to customers requirements.

The KJK 'all in one' slip leads are very popular - strong, lightweight as well as being kind to your hands and your dog. Other popular products include our rope leads with brass fittings, multi coloured braid slip leads and our range of handmade traditional whistle lanyards in cord and leather. Our Tracking Lines are a perfect training lead giving your dog some freedom but still having control - used by sheep dog trainers, police and customs dog handlers.

You may find our leads in your local pet shop, just look for our red and white KJK labels. If the shop does not have any in stock we will be happy to supply you direct or you can order via our Retail Partner, Dog Lead Shop.

Managing Director Kevin Keatley says the Company’s success is all down to making a quality British product from the best marine rope and offering a quick, friendly and personal service. Customers can have confidence in the KJK Ropeworks Brand. You can rely on our leads, they carry a one year fair wear and tear guarantee.

As well as products for dogs we also manufacture calving/lambing ropes and small halters.
